Ingredients:
200- 400g minced beef - we used 200g for 2 people, but you might like more filling or be serving more people!
Puff pastry (we used 1 roll)
1 onion
3Tbs Worcestershire sauce
2 eggs
Salt & pepper
Pie dish!
Method:
In a bowl mix the mince and 1 beaten egg.
Finely chop the onion and add to the mix - make sure the onion is finely chopped to ensure cooking (else it might be a bit crispy). Season the mix with salt and pepper & mix again.
Add the Worcestershire sauce...
At this point we decided we wanted to add some greenery so added some peas to the mix!
Next, using your pie dish as a template, cut the pasty so the have the lid and base of your pie - put the pastry into the base of the dish.
Add the filling into the base.
Beat the second egg and brush around the outside rim, add the lid and seal the lid and base with your fingers.
Cut some slits into the top of the pie so that steam can escape - you're ready to cook!
Oven cook 180 fan or 200 for around 40 minutes - until the pie is golden brown and cooked through. The filling will be firm and the pastry crip.
We cooked this in the air fryer which takes less time - we cooked at 180 for 20-25 minutes - keep an eye on it to ensure doesn't burn!
Serve with mash and lots of gravy!!
